Darrell is a native of Malone, New York, having graduated from Franklin Academy High School. He went on to Monroe Community College and received an A.A.S. Degree in Police Science. He then graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BS degree in Law Enforcement. After graduation Darrell worked for a few years with what was known as the Neighborhood Youth Corps Out-of-School Program in Malone, where he worked with teenagers who were not in school and assisted them in a combination of work experience and obtaining their high school equivalency diploma. Darrell commenced employment for the Social Security Administration in Rochester, New York, and moved to Plattsburgh where he was employed for seven years, and was promoted from Claims Representative to Field Representative and then to Operations Supervisor. While employed by Social Security he received several awards for the quality of his work and public relations projects he developed. Darrell then attended law school at Syracuse University, where he received a Juris Doctor degree with honors. Following graduation he was employed by the Appellate Division 4th Department in Rochester, NY as a Law Assistant. Thereafter he worked as Law Clerk to Honorable Norman L. Harvey, Justice for the Appellate Division 3rd Department. Following that employment, Darrell started his own law practice in 1986 in Plattsburgh, New York. Darrell has taken a number of continuing education courses in a variety of bankruptcy subjects. At the present time his office has an emphasis on bankruptcy and financial problems, serious personal injury, divorce, and related family law matters.
Mary is a Bankruptcy Paralegal, a position she has held in this office for several years. Mary has attended several bankruptcy training sessions, and has extensive experience in the requirements for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filing. Mary usually greets new bankruptcy clients and starts the initial consultation. Thereafter, Darrell and Mary review Debtor qualifications and obligations, as well as the rules of bankruptcy filing. Prior to working in this office, Mary had taken a number of courses in medical related matters, and had been employed in the medical field.
